Argentina’s Tomas Leonardi joins Edinburgh Rugby
The 26-year-old was contracted to the Southern Kings for the 2013 Super Rugby season, and has completed his switch before last Thursday’s Heineken Cup squad registration cut-off.
Head coach Alan Solomons, who worked with Leonardi during his time as the Kings’ director of rugby said: “Tomas is a physical, abrasive player, who is equally comfortable at number 8 or on the blindside flank.

Blooded at the prominent SIC club in Buenos Aires, Leonardi kicked off his professional career in 2010, playing for his country’s high performance squad, the Pampas XV, in South Africa’s Vodacom Cup.
He has since earned 18 international caps to date.
Edinburgh lost 42-10 to Ospreys at the weekend, with the Swansea-based side running riot with six tries.
