Rugby: Star man Jones fires Scotland to victory

Edinburgh winger Lee Jones was the star man as Scotland A saw off USA Eagles 25-0 in Galashiels last night.

The 22-year-old, who signed for the Capital outfit from Selkirk this season, thrilled the Borders crowd with a brace of tries as the Scots outplayed the tourists for lengthy spells but failed to capitalise on their superiority.

Two penalties by another Edinburgh man, David Blair, edged the Scots into the lead before Jones touched down for the first time with 12 minutes played.

Edinburgh prop Kyle Traynor came off the bench to score in the second half and Jones completed the job with his second.
