Rugby: Scott Johnson seal of approval for Walker

The future of Scotland interim rugby coach Scott Johnson may be unclear but his influence may lie behind Edinburgh’s acquisition of Test wing Nikki Walker from Worcester.

The pair worked together at Ospreys and Johnson is an admirer of a player who is looking to enter the Pro 12 with a bang having made the last of seven Worcester Premiership appearances this season back on December 28.

Walker tweeted today:
“Really can’t wait to get started with Edinburgh Rugby in the summer.”

• Edinburgh’s Nick De Luca can resume away to Treviso on April 19 after a 13-week high tackle ban was cut to five weeks.
