Rugby: Scotland’s opening Six Nations clash with England ‘a virtual sell out’

Scottish Rugby bosses today declared the opening RBS Six Nations Championship match against England at Murrayfield on Saturday February 4 a “virtual sell out”.

A waiting list for tickets has now closed and a spokesman said vacancies depended on prior rights holders taking up their seats.

It was also announced that seats for the French visit three weeks later can be chosen through a new interactive seating map available through www.scottishrugby.org allowing supporters to pick exactly where they will sit in a crowd set at 67,144.

Dominic McKay, Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Scottish Rugby, said the demand for the Calcutta Cup game “shows what an incredibly in-demand fixture it remains.”
