Rugby: Preston Lodge triumph is fitting tribute to Cunningham

Preston LODGE'S players ended a sad week for the club on a high with a 36-0 win over Ross High in National Three.

Early last week the club's honorary president Peter Cunningham passed away and there was a minute's silence before the East Lothian derby. After that, the match took a while to get going but, following the sin-binning of visiting skipper Bruce Stoddart, the hosts took a 12-0 lead into half-rime, Paul Voy's try being added to by seven points from the boot of Greg Leitch.

Straight after the restart, Andrew Archer finished off a well worked try and that score ended the match as a contest with Preston Lodge going on to add 19 more points.
