Rugby: Perfect 10 for Musselburgh

Liam DRAYCOTT and Robert Lovett both scored three tries apiece as Musselburgh made it ten wins from ten in RBS National One on Saturday.

The East Lothian men ran out 61-7 winners.

The hosts started quite well at Milntown, but once Musselburgh got onto the front foot there was no stopping them.

Full-back Draycott and No. 8 Lovett led the way as they went up 41-0 at the break and never looked back.

Musselburgh coach Brian Hughes said: “We just have to keep going and keep focus.”

The result means that Musselburgh have scored 331 points in the league so far and if they can defeat Livingston this coming weekend they will have seen off every other side in the division.

Hawick YM are just three points behind them, themselves having won nine matches, and they defeated Garnock 24-18 on Saturday.

Elsewhere in the division Livingston remain at the bottom after a 13-3 home loss to Linlithgow, while Murrayfield Wanderers are fourth after a 21-9 loss at Kilmarnock. RHC Cougars beat Edinburgh University Blues 27-12 at Peffermill.
