Rugby: Northern Bowl Leith over

Edinburgh NORTHERN made it through to round three of the Regional Bowl with an away win against Leith on Saturday.

Northern were victorious 20-5 at Academy Park and will be hopeful of a good run in the event.

Royal Dick Vet College put up a good fight, but will not be in the hat for round three with Northern as they were eventually ousted 23-20 away to St Boswells. Indeed, the teams were tied at 20-20 with the Borderers only winning through in extra time. As the match was being played as a Bowl and East Two double header a 20-20 draw was recorded for league purposes. It left RDVC sixth in the table.
