Rugby: Max Nimmo to come in from the wing for injury-hit Heriot's

Heriot's will turn to Max Nimmo to solve a stand-off crisis when they visit Boroughmuir for a Premiership A clash tomorrow.

With Cammy Ferguson, Gregor Hunter and Richie Mill either injured or unavailable, coach Bob McKillop has asked Nimmo, normally a wing, to return to the position he occupied during his school days as Heriot's bid to climb the table in the hope - albeit unlikely - that the number of Scottish entries for next year's British and Irish Cup will increase from three to five.

Heriot's currently lie fifth in the table but can yet be caught by seventh-placed Boroughmuir.

McKillop, who is preparing to stand down from his role at Goldenacre due to family and business reasons, said: "The advent of the club international and British and Irish Cup have been the two major developments in my five years at Heriot's.

"I have been asked by a couple of clubs to take part in occasional coaching sessions but if I am to have any formal role in future it will be with Heriot's."

Boroughmuir give a first start of the season to age group cap Cammy Orr at No.?8, with Jamie Doubleday out injured. Chris Fusaro is released by Glasgow and starts on the bench.
