Rugby: Lismore hit Trinity hard

Lismore made it two wins from two in East One with a thumping win at Trinity Accies on Saturday.

They won 51-10 at Bangholm to go top of the table after last week's win at Penicuik.

For much of the first half the hosts led. However, a Jamie Burke try on the stroke of half-time brought Lismore level at 10-10 and they never looked back. The second half of the game was all Lismore. Harry Bailey and ex-Boroughmuir player Lynton Brinck went over for tries and along with a penalty by Malcolm Dundas made it 23-10. Then Burke grabbed his second before Darryl Turner scored two in quick succession and Brinck's converted scored brought up the half century.
