Rugby League: Aaron Murphy ban overturned

WAKEFIELD Wildcats centre Aaron Murphy has won his appeal against the two-match ban imposed for dangerous play in his rugby league side's opening-day defeat by Castleford at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on Saturday.

The Rugby Football League's appeals tribunal ruled that Murphy was guilty of a lesser offence and ordered that the original 300 fine was sufficient punishment, although Murphy was warned about future tackling technique.
