Rugby: Leaders of East Two and Three to meet in Bowl final

Dunbar and Edinburgh Northern will meet in the final of the RBS Edinburgh Regional Bowl in early 2012 after they both won their last four clashes on Saturday.

RBS East Two leaders Dunbar went to league rivals Dalkeith and battled through a tough encounter 22-7.

Two tries by Chris Greco and one from Jamie Peters saw them through with seven points from the boot and it means that Dunbar are still undefeated in all competitions this season.

RBS East Three leaders Edinburgh Northern defeated Moray House from the league above them 18-0 at Inverleith Park on Saturday. They themselves have only lost once this term, so the final match-up promises to be a cracker The winners of that final, scheduled for January 28, will go into the national competition with the winners of the other three regions – Borders, West and Caledonia.

In league action on Saturday Preston Lodge kept their march to the title going with a 34-0 win at Portobello.

Fourth placed North Berwick suffered their second defeat in seven days when they lost out 36-0 at home to Duns.

Trinity Accies won 29-10 at Forrester but Lismore and Ross High lost to Berwick and Hawick Linden respectively.

In RBS East Two Penicuik are still second bottom after losing 20-5 to Earlston

And in RBS East Three Inverleith and Leith clocked up good wins. Third placed Inverleith won 65-7 at Liberton while second placed Leith won 24-13 at home against RDVC.
