Rugby: Lasswade to focus on title - not unrest

Lasswade rugby president Ian Barr today insisted it was "business as usual" at the Midlothian club as unrest appeared to grow over a decision which means no promotion or relegation from the Premiership third division they will play in this season.

A report claims a petition organised by a member of Cartha QP is circulating outlining concerns arising from last month's governing body annual meeting. However, Barr said: "Although we disagreed with the original decision we hold the view it will still be an achievement to win our league and a new look cup means a chance to ruffle Boroughmuir and Currie feathers."
