Rugby: Currie cup tie against Worcester under threat

Currie's British and Irish Cup tie against Worcester on Friday is under threat despite a venue switch by the Malleny Park outfit.

With their home ground still unplayable, the match was moved to Myreside with a 7.30pm kick-off and frost covers were laid in order to protect the pitch but this may not be enough to guarantee the fixture.

A Currie club spokesman said: "If Friday night is unplayable we will look at Saturday afternoon at Myreside or possibly the 4G at Murrayfield subject to Worcester's approval."
