Rugby: Broughton make it six wins on the bounce to remain top of table

Broughton remain top of East Two after making it six wins out of six at the weekend.

Jeremy Harper led the way with two tries, the first after just three minutes, as they defeated Inverleith 31-13 at Arboretum.The Wardie outfit's other scores came from Dave Cribbes, Donald Hughes and Colin Etchells in a match which was all but over at the break with the visitors 24-6 to the good.

Elsewhere in the division, Liberton are still rooted to the bottom without a win after a 55-0 loss at St Boswells.

RDVC defeated Queensferry 34-13, Edinburgh Northern got back on track after two straight defeats when they beat Walkerburn 29-6, but Leith were thumped 40-5 at home to Gala YM. In East One, Portobello have slipped to third after a 43-5 away defeat to Hawick Harlequins. Dalkeith still sit bottom after a 36-12 home reverse against Lismore, while Penicuik and Moray House played out a cracker. The Midlothian men won 30-24 in the end in a game that could have gone either way. Trinity Accies' upsurge in form continued with a 46-7 win over Earlston, but Dunbar lost 46-5 at Duns in the Borders.
