Royal buried by Bonnyrigg

Bonnyrigg had almost all the play in the first half but could not find a finish.

Harthill defended superbly to keep the match all square until the 43rd minute when Sean Paliczka finally broke the deadlock, firing home from 12 yards. Incredibly though, Harthill equalised straight away through Graeme Ogilvie.

The home side stepped up the pace in the second half however and after Scott Devlin restored their lead in 50 minutes the result was never in doubt. James Steele and Sean Grady added two more to make the game safe. Harthill understandably tired towards the end and Bonnyrigg capitalised with four more goals. Ryan McCallum came on and netted a quickfire hat trick and a David Dunn header making it eight.

Harthill never stopped trying and after Lee Ireland hit the bar, Darren Stewart nipped in behind a static home defence to score a second.
