Rowing: Heriot's novices get a head start

George Heriot's men's Novice 8+ rowers took part in the first head race of the year in Glasgow recently, kicking off 2011 with an impressive win.

The crew consisted of Ben Phelps (S4), James Read (S4), John King (S5), Max Clee (S5), Tom Forbes (S4), Jamie MacWhirter (S5), Calum McGonigal (S4), James Ware (S4) and cox Stephen Thompson (S4).

There are a number of other Scottish and British Schools head races coming up in the next few weeks.
