Ross ankle woe

ST MIRREN defender Jack Ross has spoken of his frustration at being unable to play again this season after succumbing to a persistent ankle problem.

Ross had been playing through the pain of the injury since February's Active Nation Scottish Cup defeat to Rangers.

The 33-year-old said: "The effects of returning from the injury have eventually caught up with me. I was hoping to make it through to the end of the season."
