Ralph Topping stays on as chairman of SPL

Ralph Topping was elected for the second time as chairman of the Scottish Premier League at yesterday's AGM. Celtic's Eric Riley and Stewart Robertson of Motherwell were elected to the six-man board of directors.

They join Topping, chief executive Neil Doncaster, Hibs chairman Rod Petrie and St Mirren chairman Stewart Gilmour, who were all re-elected. Aberdeen managing director Duncan Fraser and Rangers chief executive Martin Bain both stepped down from the board.
