Queen still sixth after 74 in Spain

LET QUALIFYING: Clare Queen cemented her position at La Manga after a third-round 74 kept her in a tie for sixth with two rounds to go in the battle for 30 cards.

“I’m playing solid and sensible and made a lot of pars and birdies so I’ll try to keep that going,” said the Scot, who is on one-under – 12 shots behind runaway leader Jodi Ewart.

With the top 50 qualifying for the fifth and final round, Carly Booth (74) is 40th and Lynn Kenny (76) is 49th.

Pamela Pretswell (77) and Gemma Webster (79) are tied for 76th.
