£40,000 boost for grass-roots golf

THE Golf Foundation, which will soon have Colin Montgomerie as its new president, has received a £40,000 boost from the British Golf Industry Association.

The grant will support junior golf at grass-roots level and is the second tranche of a three-year grant package of 120,000 to the Golf Foundation. The 'Grow Golf' grant will be utilised for the 'Golf Roots' programme.
