Preston new boys ready to face Cove

Several East Seniors clubs are involved in pre-season friendlies tomorrow as they prepare for the start of the new season on Saturday, August 6.

Preston Athletic manager Stevie Myatt has attracted several high-profile players during the summer including Michael Adamson, a central defender, midfielder Darren McGlashan and the left-sided Kevin Morrison - all from Whitehill Welfare. Myatt has retained the services of long-serving players Craig Scott, Matt Costello and Stuart Miller as Preston entertain Cove Rangers from the Highland League at the Pennypit, kick-off 2pm. Easthouses Lily await Scottish Junior Cup finalists Musselburgh Athletic at Newbattle (2.30pm), Heriot Watt University host Haddington Athletic (2.30pm) while Vale of Leithen have Bonnyrigg Rose as visitors (2pm).

Craigroyston journey north to face Highland League side Keith (3pm) and Edinburgh City travel to Glasgow to face St Anthony's (3.00pm). Tynecastle also head west to challenge Forth Wanderers (3pm) and there is a Borders derby between Selkirk and Gala Fairydean at Yarrow Park (2.30pm).
