AYR v BOROUGHMUIR (3pm)Venue: Millbrae. Key clash: Robbie Ferguson v Ally Warnock.Ayr welcome Ross Curle and Glen Tippett back from holiday and Andy Dunlop from injury for what they view as a crucial game in their bid to remain in the title race.

The latest talent to emerge from Ayrshire, stand-off Robbie Ferguson, keeps his place as he continues to impress the coaching staff.

His battle with the more experienced 'Muir fly-half Ally Warnock will be one of several intriguing match-ups in the Millbrae encounter.

Heriot's field a familiar squad at Malleny Park knowing victory would put them back into the championship race. Currie are without Mark Cairns and James Johnstone, who are both with the Scotland sevens squad.

Centre Andy MacMahon and skipper Andy Adam return, however, as does Steve Burton on the bench.

Currie hooker Alun Walker has his first outing of the season in the 2nd XV.

Flying winger James Fleming is away with the Scotland sevens squad and is replaced by Stewart Coleman in the Dundee side. Neil Dymock has injured his shoulder so Darell Rusell takes over at loosehead in the home pack. With a number of players missing for different reasons Hawks have shuffled the team around, notably moving scrum-half Peter Jericevich to full-back, starting Craig Gossman on the wing, pushing No8 Ross Miller into the second row and switching Gary Strain across to tighthead prop.

Kiwi winger Ben Allen returns for Melrose after three months out, which is well-timed as 'Rose lose Glasgow pro Dave McCall to Scotland sevens duty. Still missing U20 trio Richard Ferguson, Grant Runciman and Craig Jackson, that is the only change to the XV that won at Nottingham in the British and Irish Cup. Hawick are now without Australia-bound Craig Charters, Keith Davies and Neil Renwick, and start Rory Hutton at centre with Graham Hogg at stand-off.
