Port Vale pair call in unions
PORT VALE manager Jim Gannon and his assistant Geoff Horsfield have both called in the League Managers' Association and the Professional Footballers Association to represent them following their highly-publicised disagreement on the team coach last Friday.
Former Motherwell manager Gannon and Horsfield were involved in an argument on the way to Aldershot which resulted in Gannon getting off the bus at a service station and returning to Vale Park for talks with chairman Bill Bratt, with Horsfield dropped off later in the journey.
Vale have insisted the matter will be dealt with internally. The club stated: "Both parties are entitled to, and indeed have asked for, representation from the LMA and the PFA."
