Pittman and boys glad to be back home

BROXBURN ATHLETIC won the South Division title last season despite the fact they missed out on home comforts. But boss Steve Pittman is delighted to be back at Albyn Park as his side start their home campaign in the Premier League tomorrow against St Andrews United.

"Considering we were without a proper home, the boys did really well last season," admitted the former American internationalist.

"But it's great to be back at our own park, which is beautiful now as a result of all the work that's been done to it."

Pittman was delighted to see his side make a flying start in the league last weekend, when they beat Kinnoull 1-0 away.

He has bolstered his title-winning squad with some notable summer signings, snapping up Jamie Nixon and Steven Kiczynski from Super League champions Bo'ness and capturing Sean Rycroft from Stirling Albion.

"I'm still looking to bring in another striker but I'm not really in any hurry as everything is going well at the moment - on and off the park," said the manager.
