Paul Martin banks on Albion's team spirit

Albion Rovers manager Paul Martin is hoping that the fact his team has no individual "stars" will be the key to success in the Second Division play-off final against Annan, the first leg of which is in Coatbridge tonight.

Team spirit has lifted the unfancied Coatbridge men to the edge of promotion, although it has caused problems with their Players' Player of the Year Award as Martin explained: "With Albion Rovers it is definitely a case of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. We have no superstars and that was evidenced when the players started voting for their Player of the Year and about a dozen players were nominated."

Midfielder Chris Boyle has been ruled out with a hamstring problem. However his absence maybe compensated for by the return of on-loan Motherwell striker Steven Lawless.
