Parker rings the changes for final clash with Sweden

SCOTLAND coach Gary Parker has made changes again for his side's final pool match in the 2010 Women's World Cup against Sweden this afternoon (noon), knowing that the tournament has now become a task in salvaging pride and exposing more young talent with an eye on the future.

Hooker Alison Macdonald moves from the bench to the starting XV, along with prop Jilly McCord and wingers Stephanie Johnston and Katy Green. Sarah Gill, fully recovered after a knock in the first game, takes over at scrum-half while centre Suzi Newton returns to the bench after playing in the pool opener against Canada.

The Scots are missing rising star Celia Hawthorn, the winger having injured her right knee and returned home for further examination and treatment.

Parker said: "Sweden have always targeted Scotland as their game to win. We know we've got to cut out the mistakes that cost us dearly in the first two games and we've got to back ourselves to win this game."

The Scots' target of reaching the semi-finals is now gone, but they can still match their best-ever finish of fifth if they can win with four tries or more.
