Pair set for Scots debut in Holland

STIRLING County winger Sarah Dixon and scrum-half Sarah Sexton from Murrayfield Wanderers will make their international debuts in Holland next month.

The Scotland women’s first squad selection of the season was made after the first full training weekend and for the opening fixture, away to the Netherlands on Sunday, 6 November.

Melrose flanker Lana Skeldon was also celebrating after winning a first place on the bench, which will make today’s 18th birthday sweeter, and she is joined by fellow debutants Hollie Davidson, the Edinburgh University scrum-half, and winger Megan Gaffney, from Murrayfield Wanderers. Head coach Karen Findlay said: “The Netherlands fixture provides us with a great opportunity to see what some new players to the squad can do and put all the hard work the players have been doing over the summer to the test.”
