Paddy whacks Gibraltar

Edinburgh Kings guard Paddy Campbell emerged from the shadows to score ten points and help Scotland to a 78-42 win over Gibraltar in their cross-over play-off in the Euro C Championship in Malta.

Without two of their starting five, as well as the coach and one assistant, Scotland advanced to a play-off against Wales today (Sat) for fifth and sixth places.

Glasgow-trained maths teacher Ike Attah scored 24 points including eight from ten from the free-throw line. Edinburgh's Simon Flockhart scored ten points while Cumnock teenager Josh Crolley added eight. Scotland only led 33-22 at half-time after a dire second quarter but pulled away strongly in the second half. Wales, meanwhile, took care of San Marino 79-47 and will be no pushovers later today.
