Overseas news: More Turkish delight for Miller as he nets twice

Kenny Miller's fine form in Turkey continued when he scored both goals in a 2-1 home win over Sivasspor to send Bursaspor a point clear at the top of the Turkish Super Lig.

The former Rangers striker struck on the stroke of half-time and two minutes from time after Kamil Grosicki had cancelled out his first effort.

Bursaspor are now one point above second-placed Trabzonspor who are at home to Antalyaspor today. Miller also scored last in last weekend's 2-0 win over Galatasaray in his first start for his new club since his 400,000 transfer from Scotland.

Miller, 31, scored 23 goals in 29 games for Rangers this season before negotiating a move to Turkey and a two-and-a-half year contract worth a reported 50,000 per week.

ITALY

The Internazionale left back Cristian Chivu has been banned for four matches after lashing out at Bari's Marco Rossi during Thursday's 3-0 league win, Serie A said in a statement.

The Romanian has apologised, telling reporters: "I'm sorry, I feel like an idiot."

His absence means Inter's new Japan left back Yuto Nagatomo is likely to make his debut against AS Roma tonight in a match key to both teams' title aspirations.

GERMANY

Germany captain Michael Ballack will have to wait for a return to the national side after Joachim Loew left the midfielder out of his squad for the friendly against Italy on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old Bayer Leverkusen player, who missed last year's World Cup through injury, suffered another problem in September and only returned to action late last month.

"I am happy Michael is back after the two injuries," Loew said. "He looks to be finding his rhythm. But we both know it will take some more time." Loew named five players from runaway league leaders Borussia Dortmund, including the uncapped 21-year-old midfielder Sven Bender.

NETHERLANDS

Nigel de Jong will return to the Dutch side to face Austria in a friendly on Wednesday, bringing to an end a three-match exile imposed on the midfielder for his violent tackling. De Jong broke midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa's leg in a Premier League match in October and was dropped from the Dutch squad by coach Bert Van Marwijk a day later when the team gathered for their Euro 2012 qualifiers against Moldova and Sweden.

Chile's 2010 World Cup coach Marcelo Bielsa resigned on Friday, citing differences with the country's football association and apologising for the 'soap opera' that surrounded his continuity in the role.

"The reason I've decided to resign is because of the manner in which (Chilean FA president Sergio Jadue] has acted from when he assumed (office]. He did everything necessary for me to resign," said Bielsa, who steered Chile to the second round of the 2010 finals in South Africa
