Curling: Scotland bounce back from first defeat with a win over Czechs

Scotland's Jennifer Dodds and Bruce Mouat bounced back from a shock defeat to Russia as they posted a hard-fought victory over the Czech Republic at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Aberdeen last night.

Clearly stung by their 7-6 loss to the Russians, Dodds and Mouat made a flying start against the Czechs. A four at the second end saw the Scots lead 5-0, but they then had to play the full eight ends before eventually prevailing 7-5.

The result keeps them joint-top of Group A going in to today's double-header with Germany and title contenders Canada.
