Orr triumph after ban

David Orr claimed his first Tartan Tour win since the lifting of his playing ban in the Sandyhills Pro-Am.

The reigning Scottish PGA champion, who returned to action in July following a six-month suspension for a breach of training rules, surged to victory with a five-under 65.

Eastwood pro Orr won by a shot from Hayston's Stephen Gray and Alan Lockhart of Ladybank and picked up the first prize of 1,455.

In the team event, Chris Russell led the PVP Ltd amateur trio of Andy Moody, Robert McWilliam and Graham Bell to victory with a 17-under 53
