Nikki Walker stays with Ospreys

SCOTLAND wing Nikki Walker has signed a new two-year contract with the Ospreys and will stay with the Welsh club until at least 2012.

Walker, who has 15 caps but has not featured for his country since the autumn international victory over Canada in 2008, is the second-highest try-scorer in the region's history with 26.

The Aberdeen-born 27-year-old said: "It was a very easy decision for me to make. We are top of the Magners League and through to the last eight in Europe so it's an exciting time.

"The coaching team is probably the best that I've ever played under, and I'm pleased that I'm going to get the opportunity to work with them for the next two seasons."

Scotland hooker Dougie Hall has signed a two-year extension with Glasgow Warriors alongside Scotland A flanker Calum Forrester. In addition, Glasgow Hawks stand-off Duncan Weir – a member of Scottish Rugby's Area Institute Supported National Academy – has earned his first full professional contract.
