Nigel Hasselbaink red card appeal is rejected

St MIRREN have confirmed their appeal against Nigel Hasselbaink's dismissal for violent conduct in Saturday's SPL clash with Dundee United has been rejected.

The striker was shown a red card by referee Crawford Allan in first-half stoppage time for catching United defender Paul Dixon with his arm. It is a judgment which will stand after the Buddies' pleas were dismissed by the first hearing of the SFA's new judicial panel.
