Rivals Sheffield Sharks suffered a shock 97-95 defeat at Worthing Thunder, sparing Newcastle from a win-or-bust clash against Glasgow Rocks on the final day of the regular season.

Rocks coach Sterling Davis will use today's game to lay down a marker for the BBL play-offs against the Eagles.
