New retail boost for Hearts

HEARTS are expected to increase their annual commercial income after signing over their entire retail division to Sports Retail Management in a three-year franchise agreement.

SRM's first task will be to help launch Hearts' new home, away and goalkeeping kit next week, pictures of which will be available first in the Evening News. The new deal will provide an extensive range of Hearts merchandise as well as raising additional income for the club.

Heart of Midlothian director Vitalijus Vasiliauskas said: "The agreement with Sports Retail Management is an example of the partnerships we are aiming to establish with other Scottish businesses. This deal will provide added value for our supporters through increased product ranges and better buying power. The club also secures a guaranteed revenue stream with the opportunity to increase future income based on a profit share agreement."
