Naismith: No hols for Gers

STEVEN NAISMITH insists Rangers' win at Dundee United proved there will be plenty of motivation in their squad for the rest of the season.

Despite having wrapped up the title six days earlier, the visitors won 2-1 at Tannadice.

Striker Naismith said: "Everybody maybe thought we were in holiday mode and didn't care about the result.

"But we wanted to keep the run going and there were a few changes so boys wanted to come in and show the manager they were capable of staying in the team and I thought everybody did that."

Naismith, himself, is hoping he has impressed enough to retain his place for the clash with Celtic. "That's what you've got to do," he said. "The majority of the team picks itself and has done throughout the majority of the season so there are not many places up for grabs."
