Mulgrew's backing for Zaluska

Celtic defender Charlie Mulgrew says he has every faith in Lukasz Zaluska as the Hoops continue their search for another goalkeeper.

Boss Neil Lennon is keen to recruit competition for Zaluska - who has been between the sticks in both their Clydesdale Bank Premier League games so far - following the end of Fraser Forster's loan spell.

It looks like Lennon will have to reconsider his targets after Genk closed in on Poland international Grzegorz Sandomierski. Celtic were in negotiations with the 21-year-old's club, Jagiellonia Bialystok, but they were unable to reach agreement.

Mulgrew has been more than happy with the efforts of current No 1 Zaluska. Ahead of tomorrow's home clash with Dundee United, Mulgrew said: "Lukasz is a great goalkeeper. He shows it every day in training and he showed it at Aberdeen with the saves he made."
