Muirfield match for Scottish amateurs

DAVID Law, last year's double Scottish champion, and Ross Kellett, the country's highest-ranked amateur, joined five international team-mates in getting a couple of rounds at Muirfield in preparation for the Amateur Championship on the East Lothian links later in the year.

They lined up for the SGU Elite Squad against the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, the host club select including two former internationals in George Macgregor and Alistair Low.

The SGU Elite Squad, which also included Greg Paterson, Steven McEwan, Philip McLean, Gordon Yates and Paul Shields, won 5-2.
