Miller relying on Grady to come up with fiery finale

BONNYRIGG boss Alan Miller is hoping Sean Grady is set for a strong finish to the season after the flame-haired forward lit up New Dundas Park with a match-winning double against Musselburgh last weekend, writes MARTIN DEMPSTER.

His second came in stoppage time and earned Miller's men a valuable three points as they beat their East Lothian opponents 3-2. "Last week was a significant win for us and we are now beginning to see the benefit of important players being available with Scott Ritchie returning for the game," said Miller. "I thought Musselburgh demonstrated in the first half what a good side they are and could have led at half-time. However, on chances created, I thought we were the better team in the second half and, overall, deserved the victory. The fact that Sean Grady scored twice will give him a boost as his form had shaded slightly but, with 17 goals now, I am sure we will see him at his best again."

Tomorrow Rose are away to Kelty – one of six away fixtures for the Midlothian men in their remaining nine games.

"We drew 3-3 with them earlier in the season and, apart from Bo'ness, they are the form team in the league," added Miller.

Leaders Bo'ness are away to Hill of Beath, while Newtongrange and Musselburgh meet in a tasty-looking clash at New Victoria Park. Pick of the ties in the third round of the Fife & Lothians Cup is the meeting between runaway South Division leaders Tranent and Premier Division side Penicuik at Forrester Park.
