Mexican rave

TRANENT golfer Brian Smith is hoping to tee up a dream trip to Mexico later this year.

That’s the prize up for grabs at Crieff on Monday, when Smith joins forces with long-serving Winterfield pro Kevin Phillips in a regional final of the Virgin Atlantic PGA National Pro-Am Championship.

Smith, a 54-year-old postal worker who plays off a handicap of ten, earned his place in the field by winning the Winterfield qualifier with a net score of 63.
