Metlitski departs Hearts

ALEKSANDR Metlitski has left his position as Hearts' sport director after ten months at the club.

The former Belarus international joined Hearts in December - just weeks before Csaba Laszlo's sacking - to act as a link between the coaching staff and absent club owner Vladimir Romanov.

A Hearts spokesperson said: "Hearts can announce that Alex Metlitski has left his position as sport director."

After Jim Jefferies' appointment in January, Metlitski's position effectively became redundant as Jefferies prefers a hands-on approach when it comes to scouting and dealing with agents.
