Melissa Reid triumphs in Turkey

MELISSA Reid claimed her maiden European Tour title with a two-stroke victory at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open.

The 23-year-old from Derby signed for a 74 to finish at three-under par ahead of Iben Tinning and Christel Boeljon who tied for second place.

Reid held a two-shot lead at the start of play but it was not until the 18th hole that the Englishwoman sealed victory.

Becky Brewerton shared fourth place at one over with Mollie Fankhauser, while Caroline Masson and Florentyna Parker were each a further shot back. Lynn Kenny was the top Scot in 14th place after a fine closing 71, while teenager Carly Booth finished in a share of 33rd.
