McGlynn glad of log-jam at Musselburgh

MUSSELBURGH manager David McGlynn is delighted he'll have a headache tonight as that means he's got options again when it comes to selecting a team.

McGlynn was operating with the bare bones earlier in the season but has bolstered his squad with the return to Olivebank of both Chris King and Paul Tansy.

"It's great to have options again," said McGlynn. "It means that Rambo (No 2 Iain Ramage) and I will have a headache when we sit down on Friday night to decide on a team. I've got three good strikers to pick from and also have some good wide players fighting for places again."

King is back at Musselburgh after a spell at Linlithgow, while Tansy has returned following a short stint at East Fife, where he never really got much of a chance.

"It's great to have both of them back," added the manager. "Chris is a handful who can create a chance out of nothing. He's got a great football brain and drops into areas where he can bring team-mates into play. Paul, meanwhile, has come back a new player as a result of the frustration of not playing much this season."

After beating Stoneyburn in the Scottish Cup last weekend, Musselburgh entertain Bathgate tomorrow in the Super League.

One player who has asked to leave the East Lothian outfit is Chris Gray and any club interested in the left-winger should contact the Musselburgh manager on 07816 108714.

In other Super League games tomorrow, Bo'ness face a tricky trip to Forfar West End, while Newtongrange will be aiming to bounce back from their Scottish Cup exit when they face Kelty away.
