Mark Wilson takes Hawaii prize

Mark Wilson claimed the Sony Open in Hawaii after two steady rounds on the final day saw him finish two shots ahead of Tim Clark and Steve Marino.

Wilson was in a three-way tie for second after day two at the Waialae Country Club behind joint leaders Stuart Appleby and Shigeki Maruyama. However, the American fired five birdies for a 65 to move into the lead after the third round with Appleby hitting a 69 for a three-way tie for third and Maruyama only managing a 70 to go joint sixth.

Wilson then hit a 67 in the final round to finish at 16 under for the week.
