MacLeod injury hits Kings' cup chances

SHINTY: Kingussie have been dealt a major blow ahead of today's cup derby against Newtonmore with Ali MacLeod out for six weeks with a broken hand.

The experienced Scotland international had just returned from injury, but damaged his arm in the defeat of Kyles last weekend in Tighnabruaich.

"This will be a really hard fixture and losing Ali is a big blow," said Kings manager Stephen Borthwick, who will now have to reformulate his defence at a key time. "He will be out for a large part of the season after missing four or five weeks already."
