Lothian Buses turn up right on time to deliver the cash

THE league title winners from all the age groups of the Lothian Buses plc South East Region Youth FA from under-13 to under-19 turned out in their club colours to accept yet another generous cheque from their League sponsor.

To mark the occasion, the players were given the pleasure of boarding the traditional open-top bus normally used to parade the victors of major competitions to give them the feeling of true champions.

Peter Sargent, representing Lothian Buses, said: "The company has now completed several years of sponsorship and encourages other companies throughout the Lothians to pursue a similar role.

"Hopefully, some of the youngsters will reflect on the financial springboard the company has provided.

"In my role as representative of Lothian Buses, I'd like to congratulate everyone associated with the South East Region Youth FA. The sponsorship provided these last few years has, I know, assisted the association in fulfilling its administration of clubs to a very high standard."

AT the AGMs of both under-13 to under-14 and under-15 to under-19 age groups, long-serving secretary Allan Archibald was re-elected.
