Loretto boys teams create cup landmark

Loretto has made hockey '¨history as the first school to have two boys' teams through to the Scottish Hockey National Finals next month.

Both the 1st XI, pictured left, and the under-15 XI qualified for the finals of the Scottish Schools Cup competition with convincing wins over Robert Gordon’s College and Glenalmond College.

The school’s success is reflected in the Scottish National squad selections – eight Loretto pupils have been named in the line-ups.

Anna Logan, Martha Lawson, Joe Waterston and Cameron Golden are in the under-18 squads, while Jonathan Hawley and Seth Van Rensburg are in the under-16s and Kit Mackenzie and Kyle McGhie are included in the under-16 development squad.
