Midway through the second half, the visitors were dealt another blow when Cameron MacDonald was ordered off for a second booking.

Annan made sure of an impressive victory when Phil Storey added a second with seven minutes remaining.

Forfar Athletic 2 Berwick Rangers 0

FORFAR Athletic kept their wafer thin promotion hopes alive with a 2-0 win over Berwick at Station Park.

Experienced midfielder Barry Sellars fired Forfar in front after only nine minutes, his ninth goal of a productive season. The in-form Ross Campbell doubled the Loons' advantage on the hour mark.

The visitors had Andrew McLean sent off late on to compound their miserable day.

East Stirling 3 Albion Rovers 1

EAST Stirling now trail Livingston by ten points after a 3-1 victory against Albion Rovers. Simon Lynch fired the hosts ahead in the 13th minute only for Marc McCusker to equalise on the half-hour mark.

But Jamie Stevenson restored Shire's advantage shortly before the interval and Lynch added his second in the 57th minute.

Queen's Park 3 Montrose 0

A BARRY Douglas penalty and further goals from Martin McBride and David Murray helped Queen's Park to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Montrose.

Elgin City 1 Stranraer 2

A SECOND-HALF double from Armand One gave Stranraer a spirited 2-1 win at Elgin.

The hosts had led through a Jason Crooks' 37th minute goal before capitulating in the second period.
