Livingston 1-1 Inverness: Goal-hungry Foran asks Caley fans to be patient

Inverness captain Richie Foran believes he can fill the boots of Adam Rooney - but has told fans it could take weeks for the new-look Highlanders to gel.

Foran admits Caley Thistle are going through a period of transition after manager Terry Butcher moved on an entire team since the end of the season, including last term's 21-goal marksman Rooney to Birmingham.

Butcher has added Josh Meekings, Andrew Shinnie, Tom Aldred, Greg Tansey and Gregory Tade.

Foran broke the deadlock against the run of play with a disputed 37th-minute strike against Livingston, but Kyle Jacobs' stunning 25-yarder after the break earned the Second Division champions a point.

Ahead of this week's three-game trip to England, Foran said: "We're going to bond this week. It may take a bit of time, but we will get it right.

"Adam has gone, but anyone can be replaced. I believe if I get the chances then I can score the goals."
