Connor Bell was just as wasteful with only eight minutes left, former Rangers and Hearts shot-stopper Alexander again spreading himself to divert the playmaker’s close-range shot behind for a corner.
In between, there was sporadic bursts of excitement in a game that was fiercely contested.
“Those were two massve chances,” said Robertson.
“It’s another clean sheet and a good point down here but it’s wee case of opportunity missed with the late chance. Neil has done what he’s done for years and pulled off two good saves.”
